Group 583 provides training, consultation, projects and working at height PPE across Africa. Our core business covers all working at height industries such as Telecommunications, Mining, Oil and Gas as well as construction and maintenance. Our organisation has undergone the formal accreditation process via the Services Sector Education and Training Authority & Construction Education and Training Authority as well as the quality assurance process with the Institute for Work at Height Professional Body and Trade Association. Certification is done via the Institute for Work at Height. All these requirements, are not only formalities, but ensures a higher standard of training and quality products which also ensures the constant monitoring of this. We present specific Unit Standard Outcome based training, which includes formative and summative assessment as well as internal and external moderation. By conforming to these requirements we ensure a valuable and constructive learning experience, quality products and services. We would like to introduce you to ways you can work safely at height and how it can add value to your organisation. Work at height is a high risk work environment and training of employees is not something to be taken lightly. Don’t send an employee for training just to get the Safety officer off your back. Upskill your employees in order for them to understand the importance of safe work procedures when working at height. First off when a training provider undergoes accreditation they undergo a quality control procedure as set out the relevant Sector Education Training Authority, this ensures a controlled environment pertaining to sound facilitation, assessment and moderation principles. Secondly when a training provider belongs to a Professional Body such as the Institute for Work at Height they agree to provide training of a certain standard and is monitored by the Professional Body to ensure consistency. The Professional Body requires the training provider to adhere to additional criteria and provides guidance on sound practices.
