Basic Fall Arrest Operator Programme
Working at height without proper fall arrest training is one of the leading causes of workplace injury in construction, scaffolding and industrial environments. Group 583’s Basic Fall Arrest Operator course gives entry-level workers the practical skills to use fall arrest equipment correctly and work safely at height under supervision. Training takes place in Centurion and can also be arranged on-site for groups.

What you’ll be able to do after this course
By the end of training and successful assessment, candidates will be able to:
- Explain the limitations of a limited range of fall arrest equipment
- Inspect and correctly assemble fall arrest equipment
- Select suitable anchor points for the task at hand
- Use a double leg lanyard correctly
- Use pre-installed vertical and horizontal lifelines
