Rope Access Practitioner Programme

The Rope Access Practitioner Training equips candidates with the technical skill and confidence to work and perform rescues at height using rope systems. After successful assessment, participants will be able to rig ropes with the correct knots, carry out rope manoeuvres, and execute safe and effective rescues. This program develops versatile practitioners who can combine technical rope expertise with strong safety management to protect themselves and their teams in demanding elevated workplaces. Training takes place in Centurion and can also be arranged on-site for groups.

 

Who this course is for

  • Rope Access Technicians progressing from entry-level rope access training into a more advanced operational role
  • Height-safety personnel who need to support rope access teams during complex or high-risk tasks
  • Technicians working toward becoming a Rope Access Supervisor, this course is the required stepping stone

 

What you’ll be able to do after this course

By the end of training and successful assessment, candidates will be able to:

  • Rig ropes for work and rescue situations using relevant knots
  • Perform rope manoeuvres
  • Perform rescues
  • Maintain and inspect rope access equipment
  • Demonstrate knowledge of worksite organisation
  • Apply knowledge of legal and safety requirements across different worksites

Duration: 5 days of training and assessment

Entry Requirements:

  • Valid medical certificate
  • Certified copy of ID
  • Valid First Aid Level 1 Certificate
  • Rope Access Technician Certificate
  • 1000 logged hours as a Rope Access Technician
